“Mayor Kasim Reed announced Thursday the city of Atlanta has reached a deal with Georgia State University and its developers to buy Turner Field. The GSU Foundation, Carter Development and Oakwood Development will buy 67 acres including Turner Field and its surrounding parking lots for $30 million, Reed said. "We’re thrilled," said Suzanne Mitchell, president of the nearby Summerhill neighborhood association.”Perhaps the biggest change will be that the field will become a football stadium, and not everyone is happy about that.
