For some of our elderly friends and family members in Marietta, Christmas came in the form of uniformed members of our Army National Guard. This is just one of the many wonderful events that took place in our city over holidays. Members of the Georgia Army National Guard brought presents and sweets to one of our local assisted living centers. Here is a short portion of this heartwarming story:
“MARIETTA, Ga. -- Georgia Army National Guard Soldiers brought holiday cheer Tuesday to the residents of the Azalea Manor Assisted Living Facility in Marietta. The 22 Guard members sang Christmas carols, chatted with residents and played multiple rounds of Bingo. "We wanted to do something to give back to the community," said Lt. Col. Alexander McLemore, director of logistics for the Georgia Army National Guard.”
